Runners and cyclists return to riverside

Thousands of Brisbane’s cyclists, runners and walkers who use the Bicentennial Bikeway are now back to enjoying the experience riverside, with the partial opening of the newest section.

After removal of the temporary ramp a 3m wide section of the upgraded bikeway is now reopen riverside. 

Since its realignment in February 2009 the Hale Street Link Alliance has been working on the new 200 metre section of bikeway as part of the bike and pedestrian network associated with the Go Between Bridge (formerly known as Hale Street Link).

Works will continue between now and mid 2010, when the whole bikeway and pedestrian precinct will officially open.

The Bicentennial Bikeway will remain open at all times during the upcoming Coro Drive Major Changes.
